Catchings has averaged a team-high 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds in the four wins. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=DLgE4s"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=DLgE4s" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109959121" height="1" width="1"/>

USA's Boston Marathon drought continues; Kastor derailed
Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 06:23:34 GMT

It wasn't the damp chill, head winds of up to 36 mph or fatigue that caused Deena Kastor to drop back from the lead group in the 111th Boston Marathon on Monday. Stomach cramps forced a pit stop, ending her hopes to become the first American winner in 22 years ."I just had a really bad day out there," said Kastor, the 2004 Olympic bronze medalist. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=YDOj3J"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=YDOj3J" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109676032" height="1" width="1"/>

USA Hockey turns to youth for world championships
Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 01:29:07 GMT

When USA Hockey announced the 18 players for this month's world championships, it might also have been offering coming attractions for the next Olympics. Choosing 12 players under age 25, including NHL Rookie of the Year candidate Paul Stastny, 21, of the Colorado Avalanche and heralded Los Angeles Kings rookie defenseman Jack Johnson, 20, the Americans clearly have one eye on the future. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=HbMkmr"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=HbMkmr" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109632464" height="1" width="1"/>

Now that it's Chicago, some do's and don'ts
Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 00:56:23 GMT

Whether that will be enough to beat out the likes of Rome and Tokyo, we won't know until 2009. The Olympic host selection process is a drawn-out, complicated, exhausting ordeal. Like U.S. presidential races, or the Davis Cup.So we will leave them to their two-year campaign. As a loyal Midwesterner, here are some suggested dos and don'ts for future IOC presentations. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=isuUCJ"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=isuUCJ" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109615841" height="1" width="1"/>

Beijing torch relay proposals to be evaluated
Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 00:12:04 GMT

Proposals to take the torch relay through Taiwan and Tibet for the 2008 Beijing Olympics will be evaluated this month by the IOC. For China, the torch relay route could be used to underscore Chinese claims to Tibet, a Himalayan region under Beijing's control since 1950, and Taiwan, the self-ruled island that split from the mainland in 1949. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=NhlvB3"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=NhlvB3" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109615842" height="1" width="1"/>

Boston Marathon plays wrong Russian anthem again
Date: Mon, 16 Apr 2007 23:11:33 GMT

Boston Marathon women's winner Lidiya Grigoryeva didn't notice organizers were playing the wrong Russian national anthem as she wore the victor's olive wreath and accepted her trophy on Monday. But Russians in Boston watching the race and others watching on television were horrified to hear the wrong anthem for the second time since another Russian woman won in 2003. <p><a href="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?a=fyulkk"><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~a/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories?i=fyulkk" border="0"></img></a></p><img src="http://rssfeeds.usatoday.com/~r/UsatodaycomOlympicsCoverage-TopStories/~4/109608163" height="1" width="1"/>
